Mindy

Designation: Set 12, Mindy
Model: SAT - 122311
SeriesKatsukuni
Type: Special Autonomous Tactical
Description: Biomimetic humanoid, combat type R. Empathic weapon to optical relay targeting system optimized for close range precision. Plenoptic microlens optical array. J-Woo target awareness system.
Notes: Conventional targeting relies on optical sensors to focus on potential targets, relaying that visual information to arm or weapon mount controls to direct firing patterns. Mindy uses light-field gathering technology to generate real-time target awareness planes which allows her weapon control features to operate independently of her primary computational functions, enabling her to flow seamlessly between targeting and damage avoidance.

Ross

(enlarged to show detail)

Designation: Set 12, Ross
Model: AC - 120411
Series: Masayoshi
Type: Special Autonomous Tactical
Description: Small frame insectile type. Dual high-speed fixed-pitch rotary propellers, mounted on independently actuated fully articulated struts. Nano-carbon injector with a high-density hydrofluoric penetration feature. Integrated reservoir capable of carrying 5 microliters of Plasmodium type nanosites.
Notes: Success during a combative engagement is not simply a matter of causing a greater margin of causalities amongst the enemy forces. That is not to say that victory cannot be obtained by the ultimate achievement of such a goal, but rather that there are more effective methods that the direct pursuit of immediate fatalities. Due in large part to his small size, Ross is capable of infiltrating and infecting oppositional forces with specialized nanosites designed to disrupt biological and biomimetic neural functions. Depending on the specific payload, these microscopic machines can cause blind impulsive aggression, immediate short term memory loss, loss of sensory perception, and spontaneous aphasia.

Madeline

Designation: Set 11, Madeline
Model: SAT - 111911
Series: Sadanori
Type: Special Autonomous Tactical
Description: Bipedal Humanoid, special chassis. Optimized dual-wield weapon capabilities, with dedicated individual targeting logic centers. Rear cranial mounted extending optical sensor, with 360 degree swivel. Powered by eight micro rectenna (rectifying antenna) panels, independently mounted, requiring a C-Brown series phased array microwave transmitter. Self repairing nano polymer light armored core. Titanium joint structures.
Notes: Aesthetics and function have often been at opposing ends of the spectrum in autonomous design. Early in Madeline's development an emphasis was placed on maintaining smooth, seamless lines to create a more graceful profile. However, during combat testing, her low performance rating demanded certain structural changes in order to realize the full potential of her programming. Her extremities, while visually appealing, lacked the resilience needed to single-handedly operate heavier weapon types. In the end, her lower arms and legs were designed by an outside firm, Kuniyoshi, who won a Rotwang award for their telekinetic automaton Patricia. Stronger and faster, the finalized limbs even incorporated a power receiver/transfer system.

Gwen

Designation: Set 11, Gwen
Model: SAT-111011
Series: Masahiro
Type: Special Autonomous Tactical
Description: Bipedal humanoid long-range limited assistance type. Rear mounted dual phase UN (uranium nitride) reactor, capable of 70 MW thermal / 25 MW electric output, with an active life of 10 years. Single integrated Rothchild AAT-3 weapons system, with optimized .300 Winchester Magnum ammunition, and a 50 round magazine. Full range optical sensory array, including infrared, thermal, low-light, and composite satellite requisitioned imagery.
Notes: Occasionally an operative is needed who can carry out extended missions without support. Gwen has little trouble waiting for the opportune moment to strike, with more than enough independently generated power to keep her phalange on the firing mechanism for more than a decade without refueling. Armed with an exceptionally efficient weapons system, she can deliver devastating firepower at her leisure.

Claudette

Designation: Set 08, "Claudette."
Model: SAT - 081511
Series: Munetsugu
Type: Special Autonomous Tactical
Description: Bipedal humanoid, Yojimbo type. Passive behavior mode, with reserve function aggression amplifiers. Bio-synthetic ballistic gel outer coating. Dual function forearm, with working biomimetic manipulator and internally mounted short burst wide spread flack cannon, with a six round magazine. Integrated small-arms weapons storage compartment located lower spinal area.
Notes: Finding a proper escort can be a difficult task, especially for high level designers whose social demands are equal only to their need for heavily armed security. Claudette fulfills both rolls quite nicely.

Charlotte

Designation: Set 08, "Charlotte."
Model: SAT - 081211
Series: Munetsugu
Type: Special Autonomous Tactical
Description: Bipedal humanoid, light frame.
Notes: Sometimes it is not enough to render an opponent inoperable. Victory has a greater potential for lasting effect if the method is gratuitously violent. Charlotte's aptitude with large bladed melee weapons, and her uncanny ability to deflect incoming fire often elicits an unconscious fear response in enemy forces.

Camille

Designation: Set  06, "Camille."
Model
: SAT - 071011
Series: Tsunahiro
Type: Special Autonomous Tactical
Description: Bipedal humanoid, female type. Direct contact phase variable hyper-magnetic joint system. Dedicated EMR (electromagnetic radiation) surge weapon capable of delivering heat, mechanical, or electrical energy to ranged targets. Optimized manipulator arm, formatted for specific melee weapons tactics. Outfitted with pole mounted laser Induced plasma Grass-Cutter module.
Notes: Female aesthetics, or any gender specific characteristics, may seem extraneous in autonomous design. Certain factions within the autonomous community indeed consider any similarity to human anatomy, beyond biomimetic practicality, to be socially unacceptable. Even so, the "Special" designation in tactical units is almost always associated with distinctly feminine humanoid frames. In some aspects this serves a strategic purpose, as certain biological enemies will potentially hesitate during visual contact, allowing the unit a greater chance of striking first. Aside from such pragmatism, there is a tradition among elite design firms, such as Tsunahiro, to model specialized tactical automatons after the legendary assassin Diana, one of the most successful robotic killing machines in recorded history.

Jacqueline

Designation: Set  05, "Jacqueline."
Model: SAT - 061811
Series: Kunikane
Type: Special Autonomous Tactical
Description: Bipedal humanoid. Light assault chassis, specially calibrated for special tactical heavy armament. Dedicated short barrel large bore, 40mm S-67 Hoplophile anti-material cannon. Single high definition optical sensor, with automatic shutter style armored visor.
Notes: One argument in favor of dedicated armament is that it inhibits the enemies ability to utilize weaponry obtained from casualties. Also, with the right kind of weapon equipped, there is little need for variation. There are very few things in need of holes bigger than can be made with a 40mm S-67 Hoplophile anti-material cannon.

Audrey

Designation: Set  05, "Audrey."
Model: SAT- 061211
Series: Shosai
Type: Special Autonomous Tactical
Description: Bipedal humanoid. Carbide titanium locking joint structure. Dual leg mounted reverse thrust anchor engines. Dedicated macrofusion low velocity energy launcher.
Notes: Dedicated armament has its limitations, especially those in place of an arm. Units with limited variable combat application often feel forced to compensate with an exaggerated specialization. Audry's primary function is to obliterate large scale structural elements, specifically to deny an enemy strategic locations from which to stage operations. The scope of her ability to destroy things is great enough to warrant only a conservative use of her talents, making her a rarity on the battlefield. Actually, she is so specific a tool that more often than not it is better to make do without her than it is to foresee the need for her and conduct operations with her on hand.

Kate

Designation: Kilo - Set  04, "Kate."
Model: SAT - 041811
Series: Kanenori
Type: Special Autonomous Tactical
Description: Artificial pyrokinetic type matter exciting gauntlets. Mobile eight point low center solid base.
Notes: Until recently, fire-based weaponry has been reliant on either chemicals, light amplification, or microwave energy to achieve an effective burns. Kate utilizes disruptive matter displacement technology to selectively excite matter into combustion. The benefit of this is a wider range of tactical capabilities, from pinpoint internal combustion from behind cover, to igniting the oxygen in the air for a unprejudiced approach to large scale devastation.
