Herschell

Designation: Set 11, Herschell
Model: AS - 112311
Series: Teruhiro
Type: Autonomous Support
Description: Wheeled quadrupedal midsized chassis. Self contained hybrid electric/micro-fusion powerplant. Independently articulated suspension, with in-hub motors.
Notes: In the early days of automaton design, wheeled mobility was the preferred method of energy efficient locomotion. After the development of the C-Brown and subsequent series phased array microwave transmitters, the greater power requirements for biomimetic appendages became less of an inhibiting factor, and bipedal humanoid type chassis are now considered an industry standard. Herschell was designed to be the perfect marriage between the early autonomous wheeled vehicles and modern biomimetic humanoid types. He is incredibly fast over rough terrain, and he is not dependent on exterior power sources.
